How can I cancel my Guardio trial?

Guardio offers everyone a 7-day, no-obligation free trial, so you can give it a try before you buy. At the end of your free trial, your subscription will be activated and you’ll be charged on the payment method you provided during signup.

At any point during your first 7 days, you can cancel your free trial and your Premium protection will expire at the end of the trial. You’ll then get Guardio protection on our basic Plan, which is free, and you won’t be charged. You can upgrade to Premium and reactivate full protection at any time.

Important Note: Deleting your Guardio account and/or uninstalling the Guardio extension will not cancel your free trial or active subscription. Cancellation steps differ depending on where you subscribed.

How to check where you paid for your subscription:

If you don’t remember where you started your Guardio subscription, you can view this information is on the Subscription page. Here’s how to find it:

  1. Sign in to your account from your desktop or mobile web
  2. Go to your Guardio Dashboard
  3. Click your initials in the top right corner
  4. Click “Subscription"

From the mobile app: 

    1. Tap the settings icon in the top right
    2. Tap “Subscription".

If you paid for your subscription on the Guardio website:

Cancelling from the desktop browser extension:

  1. Sign in to your account
  2. Click your avatar (initials) in the top-right corner of your Dashboard
  3. Click Subscription
  4. Click Change next to Plan
  5. Click Turn Off
  6. Click Cancel Subscription

Cancelling from the Guardio app:

  1. Open the Guardio App.
  2. Tap the settings icon in the top right
  3. Tap Subscription
  4. Tap “Manage Subscription” and follow the instructions
  5. Tap the settings icon in the top right
  6. Tap Subscription
  7. Click Change next to Plan
  8. Click Turn Off
  9. Click Cancel Subscription

If you paid for your subscription in the App Store or Play Store:

  1. Open the Guardio App from your phone

  2. Tap the settings icon in the top right

  3. Tap Subscription

  4. Tap “Cancel Subscription” and follow the instructions

  5. Tap “Go To Apple Subscriptions” or “Go To Google Play Subscriptions” and cancel your Guardio subscription

  6. IMPORTANT: Your free trial will remain active and your subscription WILL NOT BE CANCELLED until you cancel your subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

If you were charged for a Guardio subscription during your trial: 

  • Noticed a charge during your free trial? Don't worry, it's not what it seems! It's just a temporary hold to verify your card, not an actual charge. No funds are taken during the trial. Confused or need more info? Just contact our support team and we'll clear this out for you. 
  • If you tried to cancel your trial before it ended but were charged for a subscription, contact our support team for more help.
