How do I add or remove sources from my identity monitoring list?

Your monitoring list is a list of details that Guardio uses to search for and alert you about personal data leaks. For example, we can search for your email address, and if we find it in a data breach, we’ll also see other personal information that was leaked such as passwords, addresses, or credit card numbers. The more sources you add to your monitoring list, the more effective Guardio will be at identifying and alerting you about personal data leaks. 

How do I add additional email addresses to my identity monitoring list?

From the browser extension: 

  1. Open your Identity Monitoring tab.
  2. Under “Monitoring list” click “Add source” and click “Email”.
  3. Enter the email address you would like to add and click “Add Email”.
  4. Open your email inbox and look for the verification email.
  5. Click the button or the link provided.

From the mobile app: 

  1. Open your Identity Monitoring tab.
  2. Under “Monitoring list” tap “Email”.
  3. Tap “Add another”. 
  4. Enter the email address you would like to add and tap “Add Email”.
  5. Open your email inbox and look for the verification email.
  6. Click the button or the link provided.

How do I add a phone number to my identity monitoring list?

From the browser extension: 

  1. Open your Identity Monitoring tab.
  2. Under “Monitoring list” click “Add source” and click “Phone Number”. 
  3. Enter the phone number you would like to add and click “Add Phone Number”.
  4. At this point, you should receive a text message from Guardio with a verification code.
  5. Enter the 6-digit code and and click “Verify Phone Number”.

From the mobile app: 

  1. Open your Identity Monitoring tab.
  2. Under “Monitoring list” tap “Add Phone”.
  3. Tap “Add Phone Number”. 
  4. Enter the phone number you would like to add and tap “Add phone number”.
  5. At this point, you should receive a text message from Guardio with a verification code.
  6. Enter the 6-digit code and and click “Verify Phone Number”.

Note: You can only add one phone number to your monitoring list for now. If you'd like to add more, get in touch with support here

How do I remove an email address or phone number from my identity monitoring list?

From the browser extension: 

  1. Open your Identity Monitoring tab.
  2. Click the 3 dots next to the email address or phone number you’d like to remove. 
  3. Click “Remove” and confirm you no longer wish to receive alerts for this email or phone number.

From the mobile app: 

  1. Open your Identity Monitoring tab.
  2. Tap on either Email or Phone Number.
  3. Tap “Edit” next to the source you’d like to remove. 
  4. Tap the remove icon to the left of the source you’d like to remove and confirm. 

Note: You cannot remove the email address that you registered with from your monitoring list. You can only remove additional email addresses.
