How do I find the Guardio account I paid for?

Already paid, and the app asks you to pay again? Don't pay again. Nothing is lost. You're signed in to a different account than the one you paid with.

Your plan belongs to the sign-in you used when you paid. If you sign in a different way, Guardio opens a new, empty account, and that one asks you to pay.

If the app asks you to pay again

Sign out, then sign back in the same way you did when you paid.

  1. Open the Guardio app and tap Profile (bottom right).
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Log Out.
  3. Sign in again with the email, phone number, Google or Apple option you used when you paid.

Still landing in the wrong account?

  • Android: open your phone's Settings, tap Apps, then Guardio, then Storage, and tap Clear cache. Open Guardio and sign in again.
  • iPhone: delete the Guardio app, install it again from the App Store, and sign in again.

Deleting and reinstalling the app doesn't change your plan or your payments. It just gives you a fresh sign-in screen.

Which way did I sign up?

There are four ways to sign in. Each one opens its own account, even for the same person.

  • Email and password. Try each email you use. Forgot the password? See How do I reset my Guardio password?.
  • Google. Tap the Google button and pick your Google account. There's no Guardio password.
  • Apple. Tap the Apple button. If you chose "Hide My Email" when you joined, your account uses an address that ends in @privaterelay.appleid.com. You never type that address. Just use the Apple button.
  • Phone number. Enter the number you joined with. We text you a new code each time. There's no password.

If a sign-in or a password reset takes you to a sign-up or payment screen, that email usually isn't the one on your paid account. Try another one.

Good to know: A phone number you added for leak alerts isn't a way to sign in. Signing in with it opens a new, empty account.

Look for clues

  • Search each of your email inboxes for "Guardio". The address that gets our emails about your plan is usually the one your account uses.
  • Paid with PayPal? Check the email on your PayPal account. It may not be the one you use every day.
  • Seeing a charge but can't find any account? See Why was I charged by Guardio?.

Still can't find it? We'll look it up

Write to us and send as much of this as you can:

  • Every email address you might have used
  • The phone number you might have used
  • Your PayPal email, if you paid with PayPal
  • The last 4 digits of the card you paid with, plus the date and amount of the charge

We'll find the account and reply by email to tell you which sign-in to use. Never send your full card number or a password. We'll never ask for them.

Paid on two accounts by mistake? Tell us in the same message, and we'll help you sort it out.
