How can I cancel my Guardio subscription?

You can cancel your membership at any time. When you do this, your Premium protection will expire at the end of its current billing cycle, and you will not be charged for future service unless you choose to reactivate your membership.

Please Note:

  • Keep in mind that sending an email to Guardio support will not cancel your membership.
  • Uninstalling Guardio's extension and/or deleting your Guardio account also does not cancel your membership -- you will continue to pay for Guardio Premium until you turn off your Premium Protection. So please, check your subscription status here and cancel via this page (see the instructions below).
  • Cancellation steps differ depending on the initial payment method you chose (AppStore/Play Store vs Paypal/Credit card), and if you are cancelling on your computer, your phone, or through the Guardio App.

How to check where you paid for your subscription

In case you can’t recall what payment method you used when you initially registered with Guardio, you can view this information from the Subscription page. Here’s how to find it:

Important: Make sure you're signed into your Guardio account.

From desktop or mobile web:

  1. Go to your dashboard
  2. Click your initials in the top right corner
  3. Click “Subscription”

From the mobile app:

  1. Tap the settings icon in the top right
  2. Tap “Subscription

If you paid for your subscription on the Guardio website:

Canceling from the desktop browser extension:

  1. Sign in to your account
  2. Click your initials in the top-right corner of your Dashboard
  3. Click Subscription
  4. Click Change next to Plan
  5. Click Turn Off
  6. Click Cancel Subscription

Canceling from the Guardio app:

  1. Open the Guardio App.
  2. Tap the settings icon in the top right
  3. Tap Subscription
  4. Tap “Manage Subscription” and follow the instructions
  5. Tap the settings icon in the top right
  6. Tap Subscription
  7. Click Change next to Plan
  8. Click Turn Off
  9. Click Cancel Subscription

If you paid for your subscription in the App Store or Google Play:

  1. Open the Guardio App from your phone
  2. Tap the settings icon in the top right
  3. Tap Subscription
  4. Tap “Cancel Subscription” and follow the instructions
  5. Tap “Go To Apple Subscriptions” or “Go To Google Play Subscriptions” and cancel your Guardio subscription

IMPORTANT: Your free trial will remain active and your subscription WILL NOT BE CANCELLED until you cancel your subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

What happens after I cancel my Guardio subscription?

After you cancel your Guardio subscription, you’ll keep your Premium protection until the end of your current billing cycle. You can find this information by:

  1. Clicking your avatar (initials) in the top right corner of your Dashboard
  2. Clicking Subscription. Under Plan, you’ll see when your Premium protection expires

Once your Premium protection expires, you’ll move to Guardio’s Free plan, and you’ll remain partially protected.

To view receipts for all payments made on your account:

  1. Go to the Subscription page in your Dashboard
  2. Click on View your Receipt. Your receipt includes a reference number, the paid amount, the payment method, and the date of the payment and renewal date.

Note: You can send your receipt to your email by clicking on the envelope.

Find your Guardio account email:

If you have a Guardio charge on your billing statement, but you don’t remember which email account you signed up with, you can contact our support team.
Make sure to provide to include the following information:

  • Date of the last charge from Guardio.
  • Amount charged.
  • Full name on the credit card.
  • For PayPal charged the PayPal transaction ID.
