There are a few reasons the amount on your statement might look different from what you expected. Here's what each one means.
If you were charged annually but expected to pay monthly
Guardio offers both monthly and annual plans. Annual plans are billed as a single upfront payment — not spread across 12 months. It works out cheaper overall than paying month by month. If you signed up for an annual plan, the full amount goes through on the day you subscribe and again on the same date each year.
If you meant to sign up for a monthly plan instead, see How to Manage or Cancel your Guardio Subscription for the steps to switch.
If the amount is higher than the price you saw in an ad
Guardio ads often show the monthly equivalent of an annual plan. The full annual amount is always shown before you confirm your purchase. If the amount charged matches your plan's annual price, you are likely on the annual plan. To check which plan you are on click here.
If you were charged both a monthly and an annual amount
This usually means you have two active accounts — one on a monthly plan and one on an annual plan. It's possible you created a second account by signing in with a different email address or phone number. To find all accounts linked to you, follow this guide. Once you've identified them, contact Guardio support at support@guard.io or call (771) 249-8378 and the team will help you sort it out.
If your renewal amount is higher than last year
Your renewal amount can change if your plan was upgraded, if a promotional rate expired, or if you switched billing cycles. Follow the steps here to see your current plan and next renewal amount.
